Progress on house

Our house is going up fast. This is the framing and a view of the park out front. They have framed in a bar in the basement - but we didn’t order or pay for it - we’ll see how that goes.

We have a date of June 24th to close - yay!

Got the check and bought a Mac

I had some fun at the Apple store yesterday. I bought a 15″ MacBookPro. It’s plenty big enough, I don’t need to wait for the 17″. I also bought a 24″ monitor to go with it - it’s awesome! I can see a whole 12 x 12 page at 50%. I added a 6×8 Wacom Intuos and I have a rockin’ new set up. I want to test how much faster it is once I get everything set up. I should have my new copy of Adobe CS4 this week - it’s in the mail. 

I also had  a job interview yesterday, I should know by the end of day Monday if I got it. 

Photo Book Memories - Sold!

I finalized the sale of Photo Book Memories today. The check is in mail! I’m looking at 3 Macs, MacBook Pro, Mac Pro or iMac. I’m leaning toward the MacBook Pro. It’s more money than the iMac, but I think it will be worth it to have a laptop. I’m looking for a job in corporate America as an interface designer, and having a laptop to go back and forth will be great. 

I also want a new monitor. I really want the 30″, but it’s twice the price of the 24″ that matches the laptop - $1799 vs $899.

I need a new tablet - I want the wireless Wacom Graphire - but the Intuos is better - but the wireless costs less - I’m tired of wires.

Now that I’ve sold the business, I think all of my blog readers are gone! If anyone is still out there, let me know!
