For the first time ever, Adobe has released a public beta version of Photoshop. If you have a valid CS2 serial number, you can input it and use the beta version. If you don’t have a serial number, you can still use it, but only for 2 days. If you know you are going to be upgrading, I recommend downloading the beta and getting a head start.
To see what’s new and improved, I highly recommend watching some great videos from one of my favorite Photoshop gurus, Deke McClelland. You can find them on lynda.com. Go directly to the movies - about an hour and half of info.
I’m still on the fence about it. I have the whole suite and have to upgrade the entire thing. I’m hoping that Adobe will include Lightroom in the deal, otherwise, I’m not so sure I want to spend all that money. Let me know what you think about the upgrade.

everything else
I’ve been analyzing my web stats lately and they don’t make any sense to me at all. They say there are about 3000 visitors to my site per month and 75% of those bookmark it. That is huge - over 2000 people per month bookmarking my site. But I have a difficult time believing the numbers. If that was true, I would have more communication with those people - right?
That’s where you come in. I have a blog for many reasons, increase ranking on the search engines, keeping customers updated and informed, providing tips for making better pages for printing and I love teaching, so adding tutorials and info is great. The problem is, I don’t know who is here, where you came from or why you’re here. I have a spam filter on my comments - so they don’t show up right away, I have to moderate them and make sure you’re a real person. But the comments are rare and few, so I feel very alone and quite at odds with my stats!
So I’m asking you to please, please say hi. Let me know what you like, what you want to see, who you are and what you do. The more feedback I get the more stuff I will post to feed the requests. And, if you see a few comments posted, please don’t think one more won’t matter - it does. I want to hear from you. I want to know I’m talking to real people and not a bunch of bots trying to spam my site.
Thank you for making a difference.

Photoshop,
freebies
I’ve been making layout templates for my resellers to be able to create pages quickly and use any designs they want. I’m making some of them available for free. These are for personal use only - professional use is OK if the final pages are printed with me or you are a reseller. Enjoy and please post comments with links to layouts that you create with the templates. I’ll keep posting free stuff if I know you are out there and give me feedback!
I’ve included a psd file and seperate png files for those who can’t use a psd. Please download what you need.

I just returned from Disney World. It’s freezing here in Colorado and snowing again! We’ve had record snow this year. I’m already longing for Florida and miss the mouse. Here is this weeks tutorial.
